Christmas for the Children - 2007

“Charity begins at home” and this year Spoor & Fisher decided to do just that. The concept started off as a family fun day for the children, grandchildren and
siblings of the Spoor & Fisher staff.  S&F then went a step or two further, sponsoring the Edgars SOS Charity Fund and inviting children (orphaned by AIDS)
from Tshwane Child Welfare in Olivenhoutbosch to join the day.

With Bubbles the Clown, a jumping castle, goodies and face-painting as the entertainment, the children enjoyed themselves with smiles and laughter all around. The
main attraction, however, was S&F’s very own Santa Claus and his helpers who handed out individual presents addressed to each child.  As each name was called,
a bright little face would shyly stand up and take a seat on Santa’s lap for a picture with his or her present.  It was a special and memorable occasion for everyone.
Having experienced their moment of glory, each child received an Edgars SOS Charity Fund teddy bear, sponsored by S&F. Proceeds of these 90 bears will go to
the SOS Charity Fund.

The celebrations may have come and gone, but for most of these children the joy will still last for a long time to come.  Spoor & Fisher achieved its goal of raising
awareness for the orphans in Olivenhoutbosch as well as spreading festive cheer, showing that it is an organisation with a real sense of empathy, compassion
and family values – and a big heart.
