Patents 

Although conveniently referred to as the ‘Chemical Department’, the members of the team are responsible for the drafting, prosecution and enforcement of patents for a wide range of related technologies and industries, both locally and abroad. Our expertise and experience are relied upon by clients in such diverse industries as the industrial diamond, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, metallurgical and agrochemical industries, ranging from small start-ups to some of the largest local and foreign multinational companies.

Although our ever expanding biotech and life sciences department has recently been spun out of the chemical department, we still work closely together to ensure that our clients receive the best possible representation for their inventions. We also work closely with other departments, most notably in the area of nanotechnology.
