Apart from playing a prominent role in formulating legislation for the enforcement of copyright, Spoor & Fisher is probably the leading and most active player in the field of copyright enforcement in South Africa. Litigation has been, and is, conducted in all areas of copyright endeavour ranging from enforcing rights in technical design drawings through computer programs to art works, literature, movies and records. A large proportion of reported copyright litigation in South Africa has been conducted by Spoor & Fisher.
