Trade Marks 
The firm has been retained by Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), the organiser of World Cup soccer tournaments, to protect and enforce their trade mark and related rights in connection with World Cup soccer tournaments.  This is particularly pertinent to the FIFA 2010 World Cup soccer tournament to be held in South African in 2010.  An important part of protecting FIFA’s trade mark and associated rights encompasses dealing with so-called “ambush marketing”.  This is a practice where non-sponsors of a tournament seek to harness the fame and popularity of a tournament in order to promote their own products, without being a sponsor of the event.
