Spoor & Fisher cheers on the Afrika Tikkun team

Spoor & Fisher’s main corporate social responsibility partner is Afrika Tikkun, an organisation dedicated to developing young people from cradle to career. This is done via three core programmes, focusing on early childhood development, child and youth development and youth skills development and placement, together with support programmes providing primary health care, family support services and nutrition and food security.

Afrika Tikkun held its annual sports and culture day on Saturday the 23rd of July – and Spoor & Fisher sponsored the organisation’s Orange Farm centre. Members of the Spoor & Fisher staff also attended the event, which saw children from the various community and education centres from across the country compete in soccer, netball and sprinting. On a less competitive note but no less captivating, the children stole everyone’s heart with their dancing.

The event received good coverage from the media, including an SABC 1 broadcast. All the members of Spoor & Fisher who attended the sports day came away with a renewed sense of investment in Afrika Tikkun and admiration for the tangible results achieved by its initiatives.
