We are committed to making a difference in our communities and to the environment.
Spoor & Fisher prides itself on its long-standing involvement in corporate social responsibility initiatives and donations to numerous charitable organisations.
Our staff are encouraged to devote time towards CSR initiatives offering their skills, talent, expertise and personalities to the communities in which we operate and do business. They are fully engaged with CSR and understand the benefits.
Certain not-for-profit causes and charitable organisations can also benefit from our pro bono services.
We have been recognised for our CSR efforts through the following awards:
- International American Chamber of Commerce Silver Star Award in the Education Category for the Spoor & Fisher Adult Education Centre Literacy Project
- Spoor & Fisher Adult Education Centre Literacy Project award from the Professional Management Review for Social Upliftment - since the inception of the Literacy Project in 1994, more than 1400 graduates have received training
- Primary Health Care award from the Management Review for Spoor & Fisher’s Wellness Programme
- Spoor & Fisher Jersey has been awarded the bi-annual Jersey Employment Trust award: “Able to Work 2011” and “Able to Work 2013” for our efforts in employing staff with disabilities

Canteen enterprise initiative
Spoor & Fisher has embarked on a project which will see the firm transferring its in-house canteen operation to the canteen personnel, thus creating a business enterprise with 100% black female ownership.
Spoor & Fisher has provided a platform for young HDI secretarial graduates to embark on secretarial internships.
eDeaf is an organisation dedicated to empowering the deaf community through training and enabling deaf persons to enjoy a productive life and career. In 2012, Spoor & Fisher entered into a partnership with the organisation, and as part of its support the firm provides eDeaf with office facilities.
It is a sad legacy of apartheid that a significant portion of the South African population has had little or no access to any formal education, leaving them unable to read or write.
Spoor & Fisher supports young football talent
Hlalefang Football Club participated in an annual soccer camp challenge that takes place at the Zola Sports Complex in Soweto. Spoor & Fisher was privileged to help sponsor the Hlalefang Football Club to attend this tournament.
Spoor & Fisher cheers on the Afrika Tikkun team
Spoor & Fisher’s main corporate social responsibility partner is Afrika Tikkun, an organisation dedicated to developing young people from cradle to career.
Knitting for a warmer winter
Cash donations are probably the most convenient way for an organisation to take care of its corporate social responsibility – but members of the Spoor & Fisher team like to add a human touch.

On average 600 children are drowned in South Africa each year – and around ten times that number survive a drowning experience.
