Spoor & Fisher helps bring new superhero to the screen

Even superheroes need protection, especially when they are going public for the first time. A new San Superhero named /Gasa is about to make his debut as a champion of conservation in the first two 26-minute episodes of an animated series aimed at promoting conservation awareness in Namibia.

The concept of /Gasa has been created by independent television producer and director Linda de Jager and she approached Spoor & Fisher for advice on how best to protect her brainchild. Trade mark specialists Juli Hopf and consultant to Spoor & Fisher Louis van Wyk took care of safeguarding /Gasa from an intellectual property perspective. The work involved was performed pro bono in support of the nature conservation objective of the project – and to help to spread the message ‘protect what you love’.
