Licensing of Trade Marks in Africa

All jurisdictions in Africa permit the licensing of trade marks and make provision for the recordal of licensees. The provisions and laws vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction, but they can generally be classified into four categories. The Spoor & Fisher Guide to the Licensing of Trade Marks in Africa provides details of each category as well as a table showing the category into which each jurisdiction in Africa falls, and the corresponding requirements for the recordal of licensees. Please contact us at info@spoor.co.uk if you would like a copy.

If specific advice is required, please speak to your usual Spoor & Fisher Jersey contact or contact Wayne Meiring at w.meiring@spoor.co.uk or Chris Walters at c.walters@spoor.co.uk
