Get the pick of the crop – at the IP law short course

Prof Owen Dean has a long-standing association with Spoor & Fisher – for many years as a partner and after his retirement as a consultant to the firm. An internationally-respected figure in intellectual property law (IP law), he is now Emeritus Professor and Research Fellow of the Anton Mostert Chair of Intellectual Property Law, at the Law Faculty at Stellenbosch University.

Prof Sadulla Karjiker, the current incumbent of the Anton Mostert Chair of Intellectual Property Law will facilitate a short course in IP law, presented in cooperation with the Intellectual Property Unit of the University of Cape Town. Prof Dean will join Spoor & Fisher partners and other IP experts in offering a general introduction to all aspects of IP law, as well as topical matters including digital rights management, ambush marketing, traditional knowledge and the future of IP law. The course is intended for anyone with an interest in IP and no prior knowledge of the subject is required. There are also no admission or examination requirements.
